Rema Dismisses Allegations Of Illuminati Membership

Nigerian Afrobeats star and Grammy nominee, Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has addressed some of the most bizarre rumors circulating about him online.
In a recent conversation with Rolling Stone, Rema shared that he has come across claims accusing him of being a member of the Illuminati, engaging in devil worship, and even drinking blood. He expressed concern over how easily people believe false information, admitting that such rumors have caused him to lose some fans.
“There have been random stories about me being Illuminati, worshipping the devil, and drinking blood. I definitely lose some fans who believe anything they see,” he stated.
The Meaning Behind His Pendant
The Calm Down singer also spoke about the sentimental significance of his jewelry, explaining that the pendants he wears are a tribute to his late father and brother.
“That period was a dark time in my life, and I always wear this chain as a reminder,” he said. “No matter how crazy or amazing things get, I want to remember where I came from and the struggles I’ve overcome.”
His Perspective on Fatherhood and Relationships
Rema also emphasized that he does not plan to have children outside of marriage. While he clarified that he does not judge others for their choices, he described himself as someone who is intentional about his actions.
“I believe in building a strong family and growing into an empire,” he explained. “I also don’t want fatherhood to come as an accident. I’m very particular about these things, and I don’t really engage in reckless relationships.”
His Bond with Ayra Starr and Tyla
Speaking about his friendships with fellow artists, Rema confirmed his close connection with Nigerian singer Ayra Starr and South African musician Tyla.
“Ayra is like family to me, and so is Tyla. We’ve been good friends even before all the fame,” he shared.
With his distinct musical style and firm personal values, Rema continues to leave a mark on the global music industry while staying true to himself.
