iPhone Users Can Now Download iOS 18 To Update Their Devices

Apple’s eagerly awaited iOS 18 update for iPhones is now available for download. This new version introduces a wide array of features, making it one of the most significant upgrades to the iOS ecosystem. However, the much-anticipated Apple Intelligence is not included in this release and is expected to be part of a future update.

As usual, upgrading your device is a simple process. Just go to Settings, then General, and select Software Update to check for the latest version. The update can be installed either over-the-air through the Settings app or by connecting your device to a computer for a wired update, which is recommended if you’re low on storage.

The rollout of the update may vary by region, so it might be available later in the day for some users. The new update is compatible with iPhone XR, XS, and later models, as well as the second- and third-generation iPhone SE. Apple has expanded the list of compatible devices, allowing all iOS 17 devices to upgrade to iOS 18.

Although the Apple Intelligence suite is not included in this update, there are still many new features that iPhone users will appreciate. Notably, there is a strong emphasis on personalization and customization, with the home and lock screens now offering nearly as much flexibility as those on Android. Users can now change icons, enjoy a redesigned control center, and access hidden apps.
