Witness Describes Aftermath Of Hezbollah Rockets Attack On Haifa

An Israeli man reported hearing a loud “boom” in his Haifa neighborhood before discovering on the radio that an attack had occurred nearby.

“I went right away. Initially, we didn’t find any injuries, but then I noticed that building,” the man, who remains unnamed, stated in a video, indicating a structure with shattered windows.

“I entered and found four people injured, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” he added.

This incident marks the first time Haifa’s center has been targeted since the onset of Israel’s conflict with Gaza a year ago.

Haifa is located on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, approximately 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the Lebanese border.

Previously, rockets launched at the port city from southern Lebanon had mostly been intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems.

It was reported earlier that five rockets from Hezbollah hit Haifa, resulting in at least 10 injuries, marking a significant attack on this vital northern Israeli industrial hub.

Additionally, rockets also struck the northern city of Tiberias, injuring one person, while alerts were triggered in the Upper Galilee region after 15 rockets were detected.
