We’re Fully Ready To ‘Defend Our Sovereignty’ Against Israel Attack – Iran

Iran has stated that it is “completely ready to defend its sovereignty” in the event of an attack from its main adversary, Israel, which has threatened retaliation following a missile strike involving approximately 200 missiles.

These missiles were launched at Israel on October 1 as a response to the deaths of two key allies, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, along with an Iranian general.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant indicated earlier this week that Israel’s response would be “deadly, precise, and surprising.”

During a speech to the UN Security Council on Thursday, Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, emphasized that the nation is “fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression that threatens its vital interests and security.”

He clarified that Iran is not pursuing “war or escalation,” but will fully exercise its “inherent right to self-defense” in accordance with international law and will inform the Security Council of its legitimate response.
