Rivers LG Poll: Fubara To Swear In Newly Elected Chairmen

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State is set to swear in the newly elected local government chairmen today (Sunday).

The ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm in the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House in Port Harcourt.

This information was shared in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) announced that the Action Peoples Party (APP) won 22 out of 23 local government areas in the recent elections.

The statement noted, “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Governor of Rivers State, will swear in the newly elected Council Chairmen today, Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt, at 4:00 pm.

The newly elected Chairmen, along with one guest each, are expected to be seated by 3:30 pm.”
