NollyWood Actor, Ayobami ‘Bobo B’, Is Dead

Renowned Nollywood actor Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, widely known as ‘Bobo B’, has passed away.

The actor, who was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, reportedly died after a prolonged illness.

He was scheduled to be on a movie set in Oyo State last month but was unable to attend due to his declining health.

Olabiyi was hospitalized at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he ultimately passed away on Wednesday.

The unfortunate news was announced by Yeye Bose Akinola, the Oyo State governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

Akinola confirmed that Olabiyi was serving as the National General Secretary of the Association at the time of his death and had previously held the position of governor for TAMPAN in Oyo State.

In a statement, Akinola expressed, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our TAMPAN National General Secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi ‘Bobo B.’ May God grant his family and all TAMPAN members worldwide the strength to cope with this loss. Insha Allah, Amen.”
