Lagos Will Pay Workers N85,000 As Minimum Wage – Sanwo-Olu

On Wednesday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State announced plans to implement a minimum wage of N85,000 for workers.

He made this announcement during an interview on Channels TV titled “One-On-One with Babajide Sanwo-Olu.”

Sanwo-Olu stated, “You brought up the topic of minimum wage, and I’m pleased to inform you that after discussions with our union, the minimum wage for Lagos is now N85,000.

It’s not about competing with others; it’s based on what we can afford and our capacity,” he explained.

This announcement comes after the federal government agreed to set the new minimum wage for workers at N70,000.
