Hamas Comfirms Killing Of Yahya Sinwar By Israeli Forces In Combat

Senior Hamas official Khalil Hayya says Sinwar died in combat.

Speaking in a televised address, senior Hamas official Khalil Hayya said the Palestinian group was honoring “the memory of the fallen martyr, Yahya Sinwar.”

Describing him as “determined, courageous and fearless,” Hayya said Sinwar “sacrificed his life for the cause of our liberation.

“He died standing, courageous, with his head held high, holding his firearm, shooting until his last breath, until the last moment of his life.

“Sinwar lived his entire life as a holy fighter. From the beginning, he committed himself to his struggle as a resistance fighter.” Behind Israeli bars, he remained defiant and after being released in an exchange deal, he continued his fight and commitment to the cause.”
