Former Nigerian Goalkeeper Cries Out, Resigns After Being Paid N75,000 Monthly

Ambruse Vanzekin, the former Nigerian goalkeeper, has stepped down from his role as the goalkeeper coach at Bendel Insurance, claiming he faced unfair treatment.

He disclosed that he had been earning a low salary of N75,000 (under $100) per month for three years, despite his accomplishments, such as winning a silver medal at the 2008 Olympics.

Vanzekin had been with Bendel Insurance for four seasons but believed he was undercompensated compared to others who earned between N300,000 and N400,000.

Since handing in his resignation, he has not returned to training.
