Bobrisky Re-Arrested By EFCC In Lagos Airport
Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, a controversial social media personality and crossdresser, has been re-arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
Just a few days after Bobrisky was granted bail by Nigerian authorities, this arrest took place.
Bobrisky was about to board a flight to London when the dramatic arrest occurred on Thursday evening.
Witnesses claimed that Nigerian authorities escorted the socialite off the plane in front of other passengers shortly before takeoff.
Shortly after the incident, the troubled Bobrisky took to Instagram and wrote, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me.” I have severe injuries.
He was allegedly trying to flee the country when he was detained by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) last week at the Seme border.
An audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed he was permitted to serve his six-month jail term outside of Kirikiri prison due to “influential connections” surfaced, prompting an investigation into the cross dresser.
