APC Chieftain Warns Politicians Against Inciting Nigerians Against Tinubu Govt

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has urged politicians to refrain from making statements that could provoke violent protests against the government.

He warned that any politician exploiting the current hardships in the country to incite the public against the authorities should be seen as a threat to the state.

Speaking to reporters in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye emphasized that President Bola Tinubu needs prayers and support from all Nigerians to help stabilize the economy for the benefit of the people.

He highlighted that the economic difficulties the nation is facing require understanding and a collaborative effort to find lasting solutions, rather than inflammatory remarks that could lead to unrest.

The former lawmaker acknowledged the president’s efforts to improve the economy and stated that it would be unpatriotic for anyone, regardless of their status, to incite protests.

He called on security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that anyone attempting to incite chaos is held accountable.

He acknowledged the current economic challenges but reassured that they are temporary. “The president is diligently working to restore the economy for the benefit of Nigerians.

While we await improvements, inciting the public against the government is not the solution. I strongly advise politicians encouraging protests to stop or be prepared to face legal consequences,” he stated.
