Tesla has been expelled from this week’s Vancouver International Auto Show following a series of attacks targeting the brand’s electric vehicles.
Organizers of the annual Canadian auto show confirmed that Tesla was given multiple chances to voluntarily withdraw due to safety concerns.
“The Vancouver Auto Show’s top priority is the safety of attendees, exhibitors, and staff. This decision ensures that all visitors can focus on enjoying the event’s many positive aspects,” Executive Director Eric Nicholl stated.
The event, which features major manufacturers like Toyota, Ford, and Chevrolet, began Wednesday at the Vancouver Convention Centre and runs through Sunday.
Tensions surrounding Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s collaboration with President Donald Trump and the Department of Government Efficiency have fueled nationwide “Tesla Takedown” protests. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 34 new Cybertrucks were vandalized in a parking lot, with graffiti reading “(expletive) Elon,” according to local station WPLG.
