Tesla is addressing a safety issue with its Cybertruck vehicles.
More than 46,000 Cybertrucks are being recalled, which includes nearly all units currently in use.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that the stainless-steel trim panel on both sides of the windshield may detach while driving. This could pose a hazard to other motorists and increase the likelihood of accidents.
The recall affects 46,096 Cybertrucks from the 2024 and 2025 model years, produced between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025.
Since deliveries began just over a year ago, this marks the eighth recall for Tesla’s Cybertruck. Tesla identified the issue earlier this year, according to the NHTSA.
Owners of the affected vehicles can have the problem fixed free of charge.
