Restructuring: Impeach Senate President Ahmad Lawan Now – Ohanaeze Tells Senators

The apex Igbo social-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndigbo has called for the impeachment of the senate president, Ahmed Lawal. This call is coming few days after the Senate president criticized the decision of the southern governors in banning open grazing in all parts of southern Nigeria.

According to the Ndigbo apex group, Ahmed Lawal is a rubber stamp of the presidency and also a biased umpire. They demanded that he be impeached by other senators. Here is what Ohaneze Ndigbo said, “affirmative evidence that the Senator is a rubber stamp of the presidency and biased umpire” it reads.

Ohaneze Ndigbo also posits that Senator Ahmed Lawal has squandered the goodwill of Nigerians and must resign now. They however urged him to honorably resign for making a statement capable of causing disaffection among Nigerians.

It would be recalled, Lawan had few days ago blastes southern part of the country governors for their persistent call on President Muhammadu Buhari to restructure Nigeria. Instead he called on the governors to restructure their states first.

Meanwhile, all is now set for the meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors’ Forum, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The meeting slated for today (Monday) comes on the heel of a similar one held in Makurdi a few weeks ago.
