Pakistan has achieved the 65th position in Numbeo’s 2025 Global Safety Index, earning a score of 56.3. This places it ahead of its regional counterpart, India, which ranked 66th with a score of 55.7. The index assesses crime rates across various countries, offering key insights for travelers seeking safe destinations.
Leading the rankings, Andorra secured the top spot with an outstanding safety score of 84.7, followed by the UAE, Qatar, Taiwan, and Oman. Interestingly, major global players such as the United States (89th) and the United Kingdom (87th) were placed lower than expected.
On the other end of the spectrum, the index identified Venezuela, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Afghanistan, and South Africa as the least safe countries.
Pakistan’s improved standing highlights its progress in law enforcement efforts, security enhancements, and economic resilience. The country has seen advancements in urban safety measures, strengthened counterterrorism strategies, and an expanding tourism industry, making it an increasingly attractive destination for both investors and visitors.
