A video of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s 1998 release from prison has made him a popular social media topic.
The video, which shows a slender General Obasanjo, has generated discussion, particularly among today’s youth, or “Gen-Z,” who are witnessing this moment for the first time.
After General Sani Abacha’s death on June 8, 1998, former Nigerian leader Olusegun Obasanjo was released from prison on June 15, 1998. In 1995, Obasanjo received a prison sentence for allegedly staging a coup against Abacha’s administration.
