Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, known as Portable, has reacted to being placed on the Ogun State Police Command’s wanted list.
The 30-year-old artist, who calls himself Ika of Africa, shared a message on his Instagram on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, claiming he is a madman currently getting treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta.
In his post aimed at the Ogun State Government and the Nigerian public, Portable responded to a press release from Monday night that announced he was wanted by the state police.
He mentioned Governor Dapo Abiodun, saying he was framed for wearing a vest that had the picture of Senator Adeola Solomon, also known as Yayi.
He said, “I fear the government. I am a liability to the federal government. I am a madman; I take medications regularly. You can check with Aro Hospital. I have a card that proves I am one of their patients. I am from Abeokuta, and they are taking care of me there. I am not a thief; I help people around me without caring about their background.”
The leader of Zeh Nation is considered ‘At large’ for supposedly attacking and hindering officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, along with nine others.
In a statement shared on social media, the Ogun State Police Command said, “He is wanted for conspiracy, serious assault, being armed, causing a disturbance, and attempted murder for hiring armed thugs who attacked officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development at the Ota zonal office. These incidents took place at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu, Ota Ogun State, on February 5.”
