Emotions As Man Shares His NYSC Throwback Photo With Late Lt. Gen. Lagbaja

A man has expressed deep emotions as he posted a nostalgic photo with the late Lt. Gen. Lagbaja from their time at the NYSC camp.

Kayode Okikiolu shared this on X following the recent news of the soldier’s passing. He mentioned that Lt. Gen. Lagbaja was his platoon commandant during his orientation at the NYSC camp many years ago.

The photo he posted features him standing next to the late military leader.

In his post, he wrote:

“🕊About Lt. Gen. Lagbaja:

“He was my Platoon Commandant many years ago during my NYSC.

He was strict but also very friendly and supportive.

His serious demeanor (which he maintained) doesn’t reflect his true nature. He would engage in discussions, offer encouragement, and more.

We all admired him back then. I never imagined I would hold an officer’s hand like that.”
