A wild Egyptian lynx infiltrated an ‘Israeli’ military base near Mount Harif on the border, attacking and injuring several soldiers in a rare and unexpected event that quickly gained traction on social media.

The Egyptian lynx typically measures between 60 to 90 cm in length, weighs between 8 to 20 kg, and stands about half a meter tall at the shoulders. Equipped with long fangs and sharp claws, it has a lifespan of 12 to 15 years in the wild, extending up to 20 years in captivity.
With the ability to reach speeds of 80 km/h, the lynx primarily hunts rodents, wild rabbits, and birds but can also target larger animals such as deer, monkeys, sheep, and goats. Its impressive climbing and jumping skills make it a highly skilled predator.
