Ahmed Ololade, a Nigerian musician better known by his stage name Asake, has officially announced his departure from YBNL Nation.
There had been conjecture regarding a spectacular departure from Olamide’s YBNL. Asake released his new song, “Why Love,” under his own label, Giran Republic, to announce his departure from YBNL.
By releasing his first single, “Military,” earlier this year, he paid tribute to Olamide and dispelled any rumors that they were at odds. Asake became a member of YBNL Nation in February of 2022.
He signed a distribution contract with Empire in July 2022. He is still working with Empire even after leaving YBNL.
